+rusty_tlc
Here's how it works. Find the local State Department of transporatation office. Go down there and ask for a dozen state road maps. (They're free every where I've ever been.) Put the maps, log book, yada yada, in a three pound coffee can. If you have some spray paint laying around give the can a coat. Find a nice spot with easy access for visitors to hide the cache. Submit it as a "map exchange" cache. Total cost: Log book and pencil about $1.00, maybe a little gas but if you can add it to a cache hunt route zip. I have one, and I will add waypoints on my cache page if somebody else does another. If you already have (or know of ) a cache like this I'll add waypoints. This could be a new caching fad so get in early. Then you can say "Yeah I did one of those way back." Dry Creek Map Cache will give you an idea of how much people like this kind of thing. Hey you can't even get a decent burger for a buck, why not place a cache? Quote Link to comment
+Webfoot
I like his description of exotic. Perhaps even Arkansas. Having never been to Arkansas, I can't testify to the fact, but could anyone tell me whether it's exotic? I like the concept, being a geography major and I might try something like that around here.
