+robert
The Maryland Geocaching Society is currently in the planning stages of a "cache across Maryland" event for next year. We've got a lot of great ideas but as always, we welcome more participation to make this a great event! Cachers from other states are always welcome to participate in our events, so even if you don't live in Maryland, feel free to put in your $0.03 (to cover the cost of inflation) Hop on over to http://www.MdGPS.net and visit the forums to discuss this. The direct link to the thread is available by clicking here. Thank you! Quote Link to comment
+ski
Sounds like a good idea! This cache was hidden 6 months ago in Maryland and has not been found yet: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...4v&Submit6=Find Is anyone else planning a trip to this one before spring or can we include it in the tour? Jove
Id like to go, anyone else from New Jersey going? Quote Link to comment
+robert
Man, NJSKI, that's a tough looking cache! Maybe we SHOULD include it, BUT we'll have to get out there to put tokens in it and coordinate with the cache owner to validate people have been there. Anyone from NJ can come on down for this, we're open to everyone! Feel free to participate in our forum if you'd like to help build the idea some more. Quote Link to comment
+NJ Admin
Not to be a party pooper, but that cache is in a Federal Wildlife Refuge. In light of the letter that was recently sent to Groundspeak from the US Fish and Wildlife Service (administers of NWR land), you might want to ask if the owner would like you to remove the cache for him once you find it. Actually I think that cache is on Smith Island. I did a double take when I originally approved it until I remembered smith island. An email to the cache owner at that time confirmed thats where it was. http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=smith+isl...-t&cop=mss&tab= Quote Link to comment

I just glanced at the cache page map and saw that big "Martin National Wildlife Refuge" label across the page. Guess I should have looked a bit closer. Move along, nothing to see here.
