+Team A&M
Can anyone tell me what datum the Ordnance Survey maps of Ireland uses? My guess would be Ireland 1965, but I have not been able to confirm this. My reason for asking is that I wish to transfer cache locations to Ordnance Survey maps for a forthcoming trip to Ireland Appreciate any responses, Michael Quote Link to comment
+Donnacha
Yes 1965 is the datum we use. Irish National Grid The Irish National Grid is a common referencing format for geographic data in Ireland, and covers both Northern Ireland and Eire (the Irish Republic). The result is that any location in Ireland can be described in terms of its distance from the origin (0,0), which lies off the southwest coast. Also look at osi.ie Quote Link to comment
