SomewhereInND
I have noticed a few caches that have had really small pencil sharpeners, 3/8" X 3/8" by 1/2". Ive been looking at all the common places, but havent found any. Kmart, Walmart, Target, Drug stores, Office Max, Staples. Quote Link to comment
bons
I have over 100 from a bulk "Nobbies" purchase.this is what they look like If that darn Omaha/Lincoln meetup had happened I would have dumped them on anyone who wanted some. Amazon has some nice ones These are adorable Quote Link to comment
HartClimbs
When I'd started - I checked the same places but couldn't find the small tiny sharpeners I'd remembered as a kid. I ended up finding them at a local novelty store - at like a dime apiece. I'm guessing at a dime each, it's not even worth stocking these at the mega-chains anymore. Check your local mom-and-pop places..... Good luck! Quote Link to comment
Polgara
You can also check out the cosmetic departments in walmart, target, etc., cause they have sharpeners for makeup pencils, the one i have is teeny, perfect size for a cache. Quote Link to comment
DBleess
I just ended up buying a 4AA battery powered one. Works well since it uses the same rechargables my GPS and walkman use. Every time I run across a cache with a ratty pencil I just sharpen it. I also carry a supply of spare pencils and small spiral notebooks. http://www.officedepot.com/ddSKU.do?level=SK&id=515296 Quote Link to comment
Cache Viking
I recently got a pack of about 20 from the local 99¢ Store. Quote Link to comment

Planet
try using a smooth rock near the cache in a pinch. Quote Link to comment
joefrog
If you want a really good sharpener to keep in your pack, check out your local art supply store -- they have metal ones that do a GOOD job. Quote Link to comment
SLCDave
You could just put a pocketknife in there with a label on it that says "Pencil Sharpener"..... Well, maybe not...... Quote Link to comment
Anne Bonney
If they weren't so expensive, this would be a good one: Staedledter makes a mechanical pencil in various lead sizes and each full-length pencil has a pencil sharpener in the metal eraser cover. It can get messy, but it's a rockin' sharpener. And tiny, too. Quote Link to comment
