+zac59410
zac59410...we are fairly new to geocaching...and they are sparse in our area...we have to travel 80+ miles to get to "new" ones and we have only found about 14....we are TOTALLY INTO IT, and we wish more people would hide more close to us! What is "FTF"?...we think "Free To Finder"....how often does the "GEOCACHE STAFF" just go out and hide FTF good stuff in random caches?...they should, if they don't already...that would make it WAY more interesting....thanks for replys...zac59410 Quote Link to comment
+haggaeus
First To Find. Some hiders put "FTF prizes" into their new caches - 1st finder certificates, trpohies or some stuff more valuable than the usual dollar store trinkets. Quote Link to comment
Keystone
Normally a member of the GEOCACHE STAFF makes a prize hiding trip once a week in some part of the U.S. This week is my turn. Watch for 30 Magellan SporTrak Color's to show up in random caches in Pennsylvania and Ohio! Your membership dollars at work..... Ummmm, not really. In truth, a nice First to Find prize totally depends on the goodness of the cache owner. So do all the other trade goods in the cache. The game is entirely dependent upon people who hide caches. If there are not a lot of caches near your area, go out and hide some. As was repeated often in the earlier days of geocaching, "If you hide it, they will come." Quote Link to comment
