What's the hardest cache you have found?

Recommended Posts

Well, my first DNF was this one: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=15186

It took me more than a few tries over several months to find this baby! I literally bushwacked the woods and never did find the first waypoint. Basically, I didn't give up until I searched every INCH of the dadgum park. In fact, the cache owner has changed/added nicer hints now so others don't go through what some of us did. By far this was the toughest for me. It felt good to get it off my back...my 60th find at the time.

A couple of Yakima area caches gave me a real hard time:

Sometimes a cache that should be EASY gives me fits like this one:

One of Dr. Koska's EVIL CACHES:

Last but not least:

There are other DNFs but those above gave me teh most trouble. Great news is that I eventually got them all off my back.

Hey, Purgatory Chasm! I loved that place as a kid. My aunt used to live near there.

Anyway, my hardest find of a regular cache is probably Take a Walk in the High Land. This one had a twist to it, followed by some unusual terrain, compounded by a few inches of snow; this is one of my favorite finds. Part 1 of this puzzle cache in the same series was hidden in an evil manner that I was proud to uncover; I haven't finished the rest.

On that cache page....

We didn't actually find it, but we want it off our unfound list. The virtual puzzle is just too cryptic, in spite of Scout's friendly help.

Aww, come on! That's cheating!
