"Army of One" commercial

I saw a commercial last night for the US Army that caught my attention... The main theme is, of course, the whole "Army of One" campaign. It shows a guy in snow gear on a mountainside, and at one point it shows a closeup of his GPSr (a Magellan GPS 315.)

 

Being the geek that I am, of course, I had to hit the "replay" button on my TiVo remote so I could write down the coords, and here they are:

 

N 37° 53.33 W 107° 49.34

 

Terraserver tells me that this is 4 miles north of Ophir, CO. Geocaching.com tells me that the closest cache is only a mile away (a never-logged 4/4, in case you're wondering about the terrain....) Suppose there's anything at those coords besides rock and snow?

Hmmm... well, look around. I would guess that those coords are accurate. No reason to go through the hassle of doctoring the coords.

 

Looks to me like they filmed that scene at that spot. May be a good place for a cache.

Not knowing the area, is there any reason a traditional cache couldn't be placed there? Let some local scout it out and place one. Sounds REALLY cool.

Maybe I meant reverse virtual?!? I saw the commercial back in the summer and taped it also. My questions were what are the coordinates on the GPS and what brand gps is shown in the commercial.

Interestingly, the person who placed that nearest cache has no finds and one hide, and described being in that location as "accidental".

Makes me wonder if the cache was placed during the filming of the commercial?!?!

Haven't been there in over 20 years, but may find an excuse to get there next year.

From the location of the cache to the possible location of the commercial I doubt it was placed by the commercial crew.

Just imagine the poor guy that had to drag the camera up the hill.
