"Themes" to Cache Names?

So far all my physical caches involve the use of 4 wheel drive at some point. Now there are some who will try, and succeed, while using a two wheel drive vehicle, but I always advise on the cache page that you are taking your chances...LOL.

Sargent 4X4 - near Sargent, Texas

Matagorda 4X4 - near Matagorda, Texas

BB-35 4X4 - between Sabine Pass and High Island, Texas

Port O'Connor 4X4 - near Port O'Connor, Texas

Bryan Beach 4X4 Multi-cache - near Freeport, Texas

Each one has taken a great deal of exploration for the best spot, and the Sargent 4X4 is now a hydro cache as you can no longer get there in a vehicle, you need a boat. It's on an island thanks to storms in the Gulf of Mexico earlier this year. I am always looking for more spots on the Gulf Coast.

Since it would be cruel to force everyone to know how to spell "Leprechauns" in order to discuss or log our caches, we use "Elves" in the titles, in order to "Brand" our caches for instant recognition. So far, we've placed:

Elves in the Forest

Elves in the Heights

Elves on the Riverfront

Elves in the Fast Lane

Elves Been Workin' on the Trail Road

Web-enabled Elves

Unchained Elves: The Keychain Cache

(plus two adopted caches and a CITO event)

Upcoming caches in various stages of getting ready to be placed:

Elves at Hogwarts

Elves on the Stairmaster

Elves Launch a Rocket to the Moon

Elves at the Pub

My caches' names either have to do with the place it's located or just a name I thought would be perfect for it.

The names are:

The Eureka Hunting Club Cache

Woodland State Park Cache

Back in the Old Shack

Wanda Randolph Memorial Cache

Welcome to Ithaca

Old Eureka Cemetary

Where the Eagles Perch

Radman's Stash

Jailhouse Trail

All the containers, names, and/or themes are all very different. It also shows that I suck at picking names for my caches.

I just also realized that what I just said has nothing to do with this topic, icon_biggrin.gif

I've decided to use song titles and lyrics from some of my favorite bands (Dead, Phish, moe., Feat, etc.). Rat In A Drain Ditch was our first hide, and a TB named Mulcahey is about to head out into the world. Got a few others were working on too. icon_wink.gificon_biggrin.gif

I considered, in a different area, using song titles for new caches as well.

Heh, I like the Indiana Jones themed caches, that's cool.

Plus, Lucky using "Elves" instead of Leprecha... Leprach... Leperac... Leprecha... well... you know.

I don't really have a unifying title for my caches, but all my caches are located along creeks. Except for the one I adopted!

I just checked, and there are no caches anywhere that are named willy-nilly. Although that is a good idea.

I have found one of your caches, Alpha Operator, and look forward to finding more. I can't remember which one, though. It's all Greek to me.

mine have names that describe the location or the contents, or the container. i'm thinking of one that's named "up yours, governor chittenden". it's kind of a clue.

it doesn't matter if you get to camp at one or at six. dinner is still at six.
