geocache bar-b-que

attention all ny area geocachers. i live on long island, ny and i am asking a question of all northeast area geocachers.

i would like to plan a local area geocaching bar-b-que. date and locale not yet specified. depending on response to this posting that will eventually be determined.

since we all hunt for geocaches and post and read postings on the web site, i believe this would be a fun, interesting way to get to meet and know the other geocache hunters out there in our area. we could have, of course food and song, games and sports and maybe even attempt a group cache hunt. sounds like fun!

i know you are all ambitious people and have that get up and go mentality that is needed for just such an event as this, so depending on the feedback from this announcement in the next 3 months, i will know if this can become a reality or just a fantasy i will always entertain. let me know how you feel about this and we can come together to plan this event during the months of july and august to finally celebrate our passion for this sport in september. (i think somewhere in the catskill region would be good.) let me know.
