Hello again

this is to make sure that I have the correct coordinates system. The datum is wgs84 and the question would be on the coordinates.which would it be

deg/min.mm

deg/min.mmm

deg/min/sec

on a Magellan 315 ??

Also anybody for a cache in the NW part of New Brunswick Canada?

This is the format coordinates are posted in on the web site. It's just slightly higher in resolution than DD MM SS.S (1/1000 of a minute, rather than 1/600 of a minute), probably explaining its popularity.

JuDe,

On my M315 I use deg/min/mmm as my ?Primary? coordinate w/WGS84.

For the ?Secondary? coordinates I use deg.ddddd w/NAD27

This way, when I?m in the ?position? screen & looking at a landmark I?ve saved or one that I've chosen to ?goto?, I can hit the menu button and choose ?projection? to see both coordinates at once. icon_wink.gif This will work with any combinations of ?primary or secondary? settings.

I have both the M315 and the eMap but prefer using the M315 for this sport. For me the M315 locks and holds the sats much better than the eMap. icon_biggrin.gif
