+AkitaDad & AkitaMom
We have been avid Georgers for nearly 2 years and we recently joined Geocaching. While we were wandering around on this very cool site we found several references to George Bills being placed in caches. We would like to hear from any Geocacheing-Georgers! It would be fun to learn how you combine the two hobbies and trade some experiences! Quote Link to comment
BassoonPilot
Where's George bills are the trade item of choice for many geocachers in my area. Just leave them in the cache like any other item, and log that that is what you left. Quote Link to comment
+TheBeans
We've found 2 Where's George dollars in two of our caches (had to do maintenance on one cache and archive the other)---both left by Moun10bike and after logging them on the Where's George website, we got them back into circulation immediately. It's a fun thing, I think. But, where can I get a www.wheresgeorge.com stamp? They don't sell them anymore! Wendy Quote Link to comment
+urbo
i do the george thing all the time. when i have nothing to trade i swap a george or swap for a george. sometimes i forget to bring trade items so i leave a george and enter the serial number when i get home. theres a cd cache nearby that had some good stuff in it but i didnt have any swap items so i left a lincoln instead. funnyiest thing that has happened to me while getting rid of a george was having the cashier give me back someone elses george as change on a second purchase at the same starbucks! weird stuff i tell you! urbo Quote Link to comment

rghermes
Stampman will get you a stamp fairly quickly. It may be that he is located across the bay in St. Pete and that is why I got mine so fast here in Tampa!! "Indecision may or may not be my problem"----J. Buffett Quote Link to comment

+Perfect Tommy
Geo-Georger. Like you, I started Georging nearly 2.5 years ago and picked this up late last summer. I almost always leave a George in caches I find and take a George if one is present although I've bagged my limit(6) on StayFloopy's Georges. I've kept track of my cached Georges in my profile here. Have fun. Quote Link to comment
+Man In The Wild
2 1/2 years must be the magic number. I'll be celebrating 2 1/2 years on Where's George on May 7. I probably leave Georges or Toms in about 1/3 to 1/4 of the caches we find. Sometimes we'll leave my wife's (Queenfish) bills. If there's a George in the cache we'll almost always trade Georges. We've also hit most of the bills that people left in Queenfish's 'A Cache From The Past' geocache and returned them to the cache. (Easy to do when the cache is only .5 miles from home.) +The Cheeseheads
I always carry a WG$ with me whenever I go out. Trading one is always in addition to a regular "goodie" trade, i.e. I would never take something out of a cache and leave a WG$ in its place. If there aren't and WG$'s in the cache at all, then I usually leave one behind anyway. Now that I got a stamp at www.stampman.com, registering them is a lot easier. Quote Link to comment
