When I told her, it became the "World's Most Dangerous Cache". Sorry, couldn't resist sharing that. I haven't come across any in my 3 months of caching yet that would warrant that title. Quote
+woodsters Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 Wouldn't call it the most dangerous one by far, but it was my most strenuous to date.Leominster State Forest is rated a 3.5 on terrain, but it was a climb. It was in a location where rockclimbers are. I went after it right after a big rainshower. No fun at all. Big time cardio. The owners also have another one, that has a good climb to it, but it's a climb bushwacking and with lots of thorns not to include the bugs. The one posted above sounds a little like it, but IIRC, the other one mentioned the cache being within sight of a lake of lava (or magma. Which is it at that point?) and advised special eyewear to even look at it. Edit: Here it is, it's by the same guy: Erta Ale Volcano. It involves armed Ethiopian rebels as well.
