Only posting because I'm testing a theory of mine.

Currently a laser engineer, formerly a wildland firefighter (still firefighter at heart).

Mostly go caching on weekend mornings, but will occasionally snag one after work. Will also cache on long road trips to let the kids out of the car and strech thier legs, this can be tricky as my wife is a non-cacher and doesn't understand the attraction.

I'm a mechanic for the County of Monmouth public works. I repair cars, trucks and every kind of other powered equipment you can think of. I geocache mainly on the weekends or vacation.

Full-time mom of two little ones. My Husband works second shift so I try to take one morning a week to find some. I keep trying to recruit new cachers, but I am usually greeted with a blank stare, and a quick subject change when I try explaining it to my other mom friends. I take my 5 year old with me sometimes, but she doesn't like going out in the snow this time of year.

I am an audiologist. Want to see me self-combust? Just say, "what!?, huh?, what did ya say?!" Come on...d'ya really think you're the FIRST one to think of that!?

As for when I cache....we plan weekend sojourns completely around caching. I have also been know to grab a cache at dawn (usually motivated by the potential to be FTF) before work.

I am a high school choir director with a choir program of over 320 students. We perform the tallest Singing Christmas Tree in the USA every year to over 5,000 people!

I cache whenever I can, but mainly on the weekends. I am looking forward to caching this summer though...it will be my first one since beginning this whole thing.

I'm a deli clerk at a Giant Eagle in the Cleveland area. Also, more importantly, I'm a college student at Lorain County Comunity College. What's my major, darned if I know!

I cache mostly on my days off, which are few and rare. Timing permitting I may go after class, but not too offen now a-days, especially with what time it gets dark now.

I work as an Etch Process Engineer at a semiconductor plant which will be closing soon. Does anybody out have any good contacts?

I mostly cache on the weekends, but will go after work or on my lunch hour if I think I can get a FTF.

Me:

1-Run a marine department for a very old general store (now sell cool geocache gear stuff), get paid to play with new GPS units and answer lots of questions.

2-Help out on our Vic-Maui entry for the upcoming race from, yup you guessed right, Victoria to Maui

3-Sailboat racer wannabe

4-And most important, DAD to two wonderful and sometimes challenging twins that are now 11 months old.

Her:

1-Work full time price change & Cash for a major grocery store chain

2-Full time home coordinator and chore enforcement officer

3-And most important, MOM to two wonderful and sometimes challenging twins that are now 11 months old. :o

We usually cache seperate from each other, and with the twins as the other parent is usually at work. Our goal is to combine sailing and geocaching together, we almost have a plan. :o

Me ER doc.

Her ER tech--working on RN.

We met at work  .

We go caching weekdays and weekends--my schedule changes every week. I prefer to go during the week because the parks are much less crowded.

PS Sparky--love the homepage. At least the M-80 guy still has a few teeth left...

I work for Time Warner Cable. I am an internet tech. This gives me alot of freedom. I drive around all day going from call to call and I can look for caches in between calls. I can also look at new locations for caches this is a big bonus. I always have my e-trex with me.

I'm a Commercial Transport Inspector. I work a 10 hour shift, 4 days on and 4 days off. Once I get a GSPr, I'll have lost of time to cache on my days off.

I'm a traveling salesman......... I sell specialty moulding, millwork, and flooring around the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies. Although I work from home, I find time to travel to all of my customers on a fairly regular basis.

Most of my customers are within driving distance so I take my Exploder. Call me crazy, but I prefer to camp out of the back of this SUV. I can visit one or two customers in the morning, and by the afternoon, I can be camped halfway to my next day's visits. I can find caches along the way. Ahhhhh.. the perfect world, finally. :D

Perhaps I should expand my territory someday soon.

I go to school, do my homework, read books, type absolute gibberish into a little box that sits under the words "Fast Reply."

We usually go geocaching Saturday morning, 8-12, somewhere 'round there...

I'm an "environmental consultant" as it were, working for a geoengineering/environmental consulting firm with offices worldwide, but mostly the US and Canada. My job title includes "geologist" and I am a licensed geologist in Washington State. I have been doing this a number of years and, as such, have built a "practice" with a number of clients over the years, mostly who are in the commercial real estate and financial sector. Its interesting work, combining people and technical skills, managing projects, and mentoring staff. I still get out in the field a good deal, too. The work ranges from environmental due diligence for property transactions to investigating and cleaning up contaminated properties. You'd be amazed at what is lurking under your neighborhood dry cleaner. Throw in a little asbestos, lead paint, and mold and there's never a dull moment. Your environmental problems are my job security.

I am a pharmacy tech and a recently gradumitated philosophy student. I am terribley upset about the no-drug trading policy of GC. :D

When I did my pharmacology class for my paramedic license, our instructor always reminded us that pharmacology is just one letter away from harmacology! :)

I'm a part time truck driver for a septic product and a part time auto worker while going to the local community college in hope of inheriting the family business.

In my spare time (while not geocaching), I run through town wearing long underwear dyed purple with a sock over my head while screaming "OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!"

Accountant for an international shipping (Ocean Tankers) company. 9-5. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz... :)

Mrs. Tramper is also an accountant 9-5. I know, now everyone thinks of us as the most boring couple ever!

Tom and Tim (the other two Trampers) are both carpenters.

I'll go caching anytime of day or night if free, although lately it seems like a lot of my hunts are early morning. (pre-dawn)

Yaeah! I love audiologist! Sometimes I don't like what I hear, but hey I can always say the battery went dead and tuck my aid in my watch pocket.

As for my occupation, whatever it takes to float the boat. Usually techonolgy related stuff.

I work 'the man' (law enforcement). I also have a degree in mortuary science but I am happy working in law enforcement for now. Eventually I'd like to work for a coroner's office.

Professional hit man. No not really, Mr Hedberg is a limousine chaffeur and Mrs are working as a kind of nurse for emergency home call (difficult work to explain, but a lot of the old and/or handicap people has alarm in their home if they fall or get lost, their job is to help them...)

We can whenever we can find time, and that means around the clock.. But we prefer daylight... It's easier to be discret in daylight!

Reading back over this thread got me thinking about my past lives...errr, jobs. I have been (in no particular order): lawn care specialist, contractor, carpenter, plumber's assistant, auto mechanic, photojournalist for a local paper, professional portrait photographer, shipping clerk, dishwasher, drywall installer, teacher, church youth pastor, professional singer, fast food worker, warehouse worker, roofer, landscaper, Storm Chaser for NOAA, weather station monitor for NOAA, firefighter, paramedic, ER tech, cabinet builder for Cessna and Raytheon bizjets, worked at Builder's Square, electrician, City Councilman, and in a number of these jobs, a disgruntled worker! Hmmm.....still got time left in this world, wonder what else I can do?

Nothing, I am gainfully unemployed because the Co. I worked for went under. I just have not been able to make enough time for Geocaching, B) I did more when I was working, go figure. B) I maight have to go to work to make time for Geocaching. It just does not make any sense to me.
