RocketMan Posted July 9, 2003 Posted July 9, 2003 Is it just me, or do other people feel a little funny using the term Pocket Query in front of someone who has never heard of them. People often look at me a little funny when I talk about geocaching, but eyebrows really get raised when I mention Pocket Queries. RM Quote
ChrisCindy Posted July 9, 2003 Posted July 9, 2003 Are you fidgetting in your pockets when you say this? Do you make strange sounds after mentioning Pocket Queries. I think it is all in the way you deliver it. Quote

Mopar Posted July 10, 2003 Posted July 10, 2003 Don't call it a Pocket Query. Call it a "PQ" or a "GPX". Acronyms make you sound more important anyway. Tae-Kwon-Leap is not a path to a door, but a road leading forever towards the horizon. Quote
jollybgood Posted July 10, 2003 Posted July 10, 2003 I call it my "Little Special Info Buddy". For some reason I STILL get strang looks. Jolly R. Blackburn http://kenzerco.com "Never declare war on a man who buys his ink by the gallon." Quote
Renegade Knight Posted July 10, 2003 Posted July 10, 2003 I just call it a GPX file and they don't wonder anything because if they asked they are afraid the would get answer. They file it under "yet more computer stuff I don't know about and don't want to learn about". Quote
