I've got one a paper decoder ring that (I think) Renegade Jane used to leave in caches in PA and NJ. Crusso used to leave decoder coins in caches in NY, as well. Link to comment
Captain Chaoss
Never saw either one. Have a pic by chance or a link? Two roads diverged in the woods and I, I took the one less traveled, and that is how I found the cache. Link to comment
+brad.32
In the New and trying to come up with a cool sig item thread, Treasure Hunters Inc. wrote that they recently started leaving a recoder as their sig item. Link to comment
+Markwell
I use ROT13.com for three reasons. When you click the decrypt on Geocaching.com, it's all-or-nothing. If I want to decrypt just a portion of the clue or just one person's log, I'll cut and paste there. If I receive an e-mail with an encrypted clue and I want to decrypt it, I can quickly use that. In some rare instances, I may put something that would be an incredible spoiler (for example, on my own webpage's logs), and I don't want people to accidentally see it. Then I'll type it in ROT13.com and gurl'yy unir gb qb gur fnzr guvat gb frr gur npghny cbfg. But in the last year, I think I've used ROT13.com maybe twice. Markwell Chicago Geocaching Link to comment

Swagger
I've got a stand-alone decoder here: http://geocaching.sthomas.net/misc/translate.exe It runs in a "DOS" window - just paste what you want converted and hit [ENTER]. -- Pehmva! +Shoebox
I'll stick with the hint decoder on my palm. I don't need it until I'm out in the field and can't find the cache. For those who don't know about it, there is a link to it at geocaching/links. Link to comment
+Planet
I do it in my head. Takes a while longer, but it works. Planet Link to comment
+t4e
why is it so hard to use the "reply" button, which will keep the original quote, instead of mashing it all with the reply so to make it really hard to know who said what? The site is up and working! Not sure why you had a problem. no, its not working...its "under construction" Edited January 2, 2011 by t4e Link to comment
+Bear and Ragged
I use Greasemonkey and LeetKey script. Select the text and engage LeetKey and it's decoded... or even coded! Link to comment
