Reaching 100

I'm a number junkie. I love setting silly meaningless goals and achieving them. So I've been thinking about 'reaching 100' as a goal.

So far, I've come up with:

first 100 caches

first 100 non-locationless caches

first 100 non-locationless non-virtual caches

first 100 local caches

100 caches in 100 days

but the one I like best is:

closest 100 caches (not including those you place)

because, of course, every time someone places a new cache nearby, you get to try for it again.

(Provided you've gotten there the first time. I sure haven't. icon_wink.gif)

So, what variation on 'finding 100' do you have in mind?

How about adding to your list...

caches in 100 countries

top 100 in the stats page

100 caches hidden

100 posts to the forum

100 travel bugs found

your bug travelled 100 miles

your bug visited 100 caches

100 pieces of trash carried out

100 friends brought on a cache hunt

100 letters written to a park administrator

100 dollars spent on this hobby (too late)

How about:

- first 100 found alone

- first 100 found with fellow cachers and friends

and here's one that would take a lot of traveling and organization:

- first 100 geocaching picnics

I'm planning on reaching my first 100 finds (overall) this weekend in Sacramento with my brother.

Was great meeting you at the picnic this past weekend, Marty!

Oooh... I like that one. Maybe I'll make that a life goal. Especially if they all turn out to be like this weekend's was.

It was great meeting you, too. My granddaughter is still talking about finding your Niles cache.
