Night Tracker Posted June 5, 2002 Share Posted June 5, 2002 I have the Magellan 315 with the latest v3.15 installed it is a good unit. It works better for me under the trees, it has a better advantage over the patch antena that the e-trexs' have. We use our gps units together so i'm able to get a feel on how the etrex units behave. The etrex has the advantage of longer battery life. But to me it's no big deal as you should carry spare rechargables anyway. The Mag. 315 is the bigger of the two, it's your choice there both good units. The sooner you get one the quicker you'll start geocaching... Quote Link to comment
