kayakanimal
I have a cache that was taken. It was a 1 and 1. I was going to replace it but was going to do a "tougher" cache...maybe a 5 and 1! Should I put it on the same cache screen or start a new cache. [This message was edited by kayakanimal on April 17, 2003 at 06:52 PM.] Quote Link to comment
nincehelser
Start a new cache, archive the old one. It let's people know there is a new challenge out there, and it doesn't mess with anyone's find count. George Quote Link to comment
kayakanimal
I guess since the "old" one is archived I will have no problem with the .1 mile rule? Quote Link to comment
worldtraveler
If someone who found your original cache were to also seek the new one, what would they likely think, "Not much difference" or "Hey, this is a whole new ballgame!"? That should guide your decision on whether to reuse or retire the cache number. Worldtraveler Quote Link to comment
briansnat
If you were replacing the original cache, then I'd use the same page. If you were placing a completely new cache, then it's a new page. +pdxmarathonman
An archived cache won't show up anymore, so you'll have no problem. I had a cache on Temporary Disability and placed a replacement on a new page. The admins approved it and emailed me to ask that I archive the original. A new page seems appropriate for this one since it sounds to be quite different in scope. Quote Link to comment
