Both caches are located in Oaks Bottom. Today we just heard about this on the news: Teen arrested in Oaks Bottom rape case PORTLAND - Police have arrested 15-year-old Adam Higgins for the vicious crime of sexually assaulting a woman at gunpoint. Police hoped the photo of a shiny black Volkswagen Golf would jar someone's memory. The car was ditched and torched in Gresham following the sexual assault. Police say two teens stole the car after they sexually assaulted a 26-year-old jogger at Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge last Friday. The teens pointed a gun at the jogger, attacked her, and then stole her car. Police say the prime suspect is Higgins, who attends Cleveland High School. "There's no good way to arrest a 15-year-old boy. The reality is when a 15-year-old boy sexually assaults someone he needs to be treated like anyone else that does that," said Sgt. Brian Schmautz. The second suspect remains on the loose, anyone with information is asked to call Portland police. Portland police think they know who he is. Last Friday, officers arrested 15 year old Adam Higgins, a Cleveland High School student, and charged him rape. Higgins and the second suspect also allegedly set the victim's car on fire. The suspect police are looking for is described as a white juvenile between 16 and 18 years old, and is between five-foot, 5 inches to five-foot 9 inches tall. He was wearing a dark sweatshirt with a hood at the time of the crime. A $1,000 reward is being offered in the case. ----- Be safe out there, folks.
