Free balling is.. so... well, free that its neither right nor left nor even strictly in the center... it depends which foot is going forward at the next step and well, jr. goes the opposite. The thong idea has merit, if the fabric construction is durable enough to resist hostile plant and /or insect attacks. Two roads diverged in the woods and I, I took the one less traveled, and that is how I found the cache. Link to comment
