Actually, kinda the reverse.....I used to be a firefighter/EMT...but was severely injured and after 1 1/2 years of recovery..had to find another job. Now I'm an OSHA inspector/accident investigator. It's a good job....I get to see all kinds of stuff being made, and talk to all kinds of people....but I sure do miss being a firefighter! I'm the associate minister at a local church and soon to be preaching minister at another church where I'm currently the interim minister (they like me, they really really like me . . and want to keep me). +jeannine Posted March 12, 2003 Share Posted March 12, 2003 I'm an artist (but that doesn't pay what it used to). ...so in order to keep a good supply of cache prizes I do computer simulations for civil engineering(these are great because i get to go outside and float balloons to the height of the proposed structure and then take pictures-- i love playing with balloons!!!! ..cell towers are the best because they are usually on mtn tops ...although carrying helium tanks up mountains kinda sucks..) I've spent 20+ years in the Broadcast industry in both Radio and Television. I've worn the many hats of a DJ, Voice Talent, copywriter, Asst. Program Director, Program Director, Operations Engineer and Production Engineer. I tried sales too but hated it. Apperently Eskimos don't need Ice.. Currently working for a large newspaper on a pressroom team. Also currently suffering serious withdrawl from radio. Geocaching is a way of keeping myself sane. I do it all for my employer and our 3000+ customer accounts worldwide. If there's something wrong with a computer or network or software, I fix it. I'm also a Criminal Justice--Law Enforcement student who will soon be completing my degree. Hubby sets up machines at a carbide grinding/cutting tools manufacturer.
