+The Weasel Posted July 20, 2002 Posted July 20, 2002 I was wondering if anybody has the Garmin topo cd as a zip file that they could send to me. I'm just curious to try it out, but don't want to pay the price they think they need for it. What are people's thoughts on the software? Quote
+culpc Posted July 20, 2002 Posted July 20, 2002 I really like the Topo CD. It has increased the functionality of my eMap's basemaps since the Topos seem to be more recent. Also, the topo give me some added info when I'm out and about--great for avoiding bad terrain! Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son! Quote

+briansnat Posted July 21, 2002 Posted July 21, 2002 I like it. If you want to try it out, go to the Garmin website and you can demo it there. "Life is a daring adventure, or it is nothing" - Helen Keller Quote
+The Weasel Posted July 21, 2002 Author Posted July 21, 2002 Will the software work with the Garmin Venture? I was looking at the website and didn't see the Venture as a model as it supported. Did I just overlook that it does? Quote
Pubo Posted July 21, 2002 Posted July 21, 2002 The Venture will allow you to load in where the waterfalls, caves, and other topographical points of interest are, but no maps.... Even the points of interest will be for a few square miles only. If you intend to use these with a Venture, I would vote that it's not worth it. Quote
