+majicman
OK, Isopropyl has proposed that we need to standardize on an acronym for the normally used set of words that describe geocaching (soas not to offend anyone.) He has suggested: PHRGS Mr. Rubbing Alcohol - quote: ------------------------------- We need to come with a suitable acronym for game - sport - pasttime - hobby (frolic is what Hippies do) Game Pastime Sport that's GPS, but that might lead to confusion...somehow. PH-GS Just add "Religion" and you get "PHRGS" which can be pronounced "Frogs" ------------------------------- Mr. Funnyman - quote: ------------------------------- How 'bout this acronym: I really like this "RALFH" of Geocaching! Recreational Activity Leisure Frolic Hobby Or, there is nuthin' like this "GO-ASAP" of Geocaching! Game Outdoor-Activity Sport Adventure Pasttime ------------------------------- I really don't like ANY of these. With all of these possible letter combos to choose from, and rearrange, SOMEBODY suggest something catchy that we can use from now on: (I am sick of writing, "I enjoy this (Religion / Recreational Activity / Leisure / Frolic / Hobby / Game / Outdoor-Activity / Sport / Adventure / Pasttime) of Geocaching very much!" and "I enjoy the RRALFHGOASAP of Geocaching!" isn't gonna cut it either! (and it's gittin' more silly each time!) OK, using the following (rearrangeable) words, give us a neat catch catch-phrase to represnt it (if you must, add your own word to get the letter you need, and you don't have to use all of them, either!): ========================= Religion Recreational Activity Leisure Frolic Hobby Game Outdoor-Activity Sport Adventure Pasttime ========================= Thanks - Sillyman! --majicman (Always trade UP in both quantity and quality and Geocaches will be both self-sustaining and self-improving!) Eric O'Connor
quote:majicman already talks more than most women I know, but that didn't stop him from saying:OK, using the following (rearrangeable) words, give us a neat catch catch-phrase to represnt it Religion Outdoor-Activity Sport Hobby ROASH I Googled on "roash" and this popped up on the first page (didn't actually click the link so do so at your own risk) "Abu Roash. To get to Abu Roash you have to negotiate dumped and rusting vehicles, then climb a steep escarpment. But the view is worth it." That sounds like many of the caches I've been to. Top that!
