claypigeon58
I can live with FTF, TNLN, and TFTC, but at the rate things are going, are all our log entries eventually going to be acronyms? I finally figured out that TNLNSL must mean "took nothing left nothing signed log". Um...isn't signing the log required to log a find? Do we really need to state the obvious on that one? I'm imagining we'll start seeing similar things in the future -- OCTNLNSL - Opened cache took nothing left nothing signed log. AACOCTNLNSL - arrived at cache + OCTNLNSL GOOCAHTC - got out of car and headed toward cache (in hopes of AACOCTNLNSL) HCBTB - hid cache better than before WFPTGBBOC - waited for people to go by before opening cache. DCIOOF - disposable camera is out of film LBIF - log book is full LSI - left signature item TVNILJIIP - took very nice item, left junk in its place FBS - forgot bug spray CNFCONTCOC - could not find, cache owner needs to check on cache GPSWWDTTC - GPS was wandering due to tree cover FFTATTL (feel free to add to this list) Quote Link to comment
+TeamJiffy
IMBM - It may(must) be missing. TMPATLFCSINCTANFSIDETTFI - Too many people around to look for cache so I'm not calling this a not found since I didn't even try to find it. ICTOASAFTL - I can’t think of any suitable acronyms for this log. CLAYPIGEON - Cache Location around Youth Playground. Inside gated entrance. Open Nights. -Jif Quote Link to comment

+pnew
I think they use the acronyms in the physical log books in order to conserve space. Then when they think back to what they wrote for the online log they just write the same thing. This especially occurs when someone has found 20 caches in one day and has to log them all. I still prefer describing my experiences in full details. It took me forever to figure out what GCT meant (Geocaching Trail) as in there is a GCT now that the cache has been found by so many people...
