Guest bearboy
I introduced my Uncle (GKOZ)to this great game of hide and seek called Geocaching.I talked him into finding my cache that was placed in a forested area of Michigan. That wasnt to long ago.Since then he has found 19 other caches so far.He will be placing his first Cache out soon.I expect many many more. What is really impressive is that he is currently undergoing treatment for cancer. You know chemo and all that.He even made a 3 mile walk over very hilly terrain to find a hilltop cache. There were others in our group that didnt make it to this cache that were a lot younger. So dont be surprised if someday soon GKOZ will be visiting your cache. It really dont matter where it is!!!!!He has been introducing this game to others also.Keep up the good work GKOZ. Guest ClayJar
I've got a friend that has connections to people who live far enough out in the country to have forested land. I'm going to take him to a nice little local cache, and he thinks (from my descriptions) that placing a cache will be no problem (he was enthusiastic, actually). Soon the number of caches in Louisiana might make the double digits. Quote Link to comment
Guest bunkerdave
Had a good experience along these lines yesterday (6-16) I planned a little jaunt (12 caches) into Utah's West Desert and sent e-mail to all the cache owners in the area inviting them to join me. One guy did so, and he brought his Brother-in-law and nephew. We spent 15 hours chasing down 12 caches over a 300 mile round trip. Whew! Anyway, they assured me they were hooked, and from the look on the young man's face as we neared each cache, I don't doubt it one bit. What a treat to see that. Quote Link to comment
