Guest Snowtrail
Well, I've been wondering what the Sierra Club's opinion was on geocaching. I'm an outings leader for the local Sierra Club and I decided to lead a group hunting next month to expose them to geocaching. I'm also trying to instill in the group the leave no trace policies. I talked to the director of the park I'm geocaching in, and got the go ahead (and encouragement) to go off trail. Not every outsider sees geocaching as a bad thing. Quote Link to comment
Guest faithwalker
Thank you Snowtrail, I totally agree that not all people outside of Geocaching have a negitive opinion. Do we have permission to print this article so we can use it for encouragement to others when we ask permission. Maybe coming from a group like the Sierra Club might have some positive influence with those who are standing on the fence. ------------------ ...Cache Responsible and may all your birds be in view... ...Faithwalker & DaMama...
