+Team Lyons Posted July 21, 2003 Posted July 21, 2003 I'm planning a multi-cache and for one of my clue cache's I want to have the clue on a thin stick (survey stake size) in a tree on a branch "tied or wired" not "nailed" so the geocacher would have to look up and see that the stake has the coordinates to the next cache. So can I do this? It wont hurt the tree and wont be an eyesore to anyone. Thanks. Quote
+Marky Posted July 21, 2003 Posted July 21, 2003 I've done multi-caches with this style of stage. I see no problems with it. --Marky "All of us get lost in the darkness, dreamers learn to steer with a backlit GPSr" Quote
+El Diablo Posted July 21, 2003 Posted July 21, 2003 I've seen it done before. I've also seen surveyors tape around a tree that had the coordinates on it. It's so obvious that people don't think to look at it. Also camo tape wrapped around a limb with the coordinates on it. +Squirrel Nut & Beersnob Posted July 21, 2003 Posted July 21, 2003 IMHO, I think that should be fine as long as you loosen it every year or so, so that it dosen't start girding the tree. I don't have a problem tacking it to the tree I just thought by tying it somehow it would avoid a confrontation with an ultra tree hugger that may stumble upon it an then try and start crap with geocachers and try and give us a bad rap Quote
