+Cincinnati Bearcaches
I am looking to place my first cache off a trail used for walking/biking. There are a few parking options, depending on which one is taken changes the overall hike significantly. One of the lots is only available to public on the weekdays. The other one is available always, and I want to encourage others to park here. It is a nicer walk and is a 2 mile trip each way to the cache, with significant climb the last 500 feet. To encourage parking here, I figured I would place a separate cache 1 mile down the trail, to give people 2 caches for their effort, and encourage the longer walk. Should I make these 2 seperate caches, or a multi-cache with the coordinates to the second cache in the first one? Looking to make my first one a good one. Any comments will be appreciated. thanks Quote Link to comment
+Squirrel Nut & Beersnob
You could always just post the coords of your recommended parking spot- some may choose the closer parking if/when available, but most will probably use whatever spot you recommend. I walk the Maze of Moments, but everywhere I turn to, begins a new beginning, but never finds a finish... -Enya, Anywhere Is Quote Link to comment
+TEAM 360
Make them 2 separate ones. That way, if someone only wants to get the quickie, it's a bit easier. If someone wants to commit to the longer hike, then they can pick up the easy one on the way. If you made them one multi-cache, you might lose some finders that only wanted to get the quickie and not commit to a longer hike. Quote Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
Either way works. If it's a trail most people would park at the easy one and walk to the other one (or try to drive anyway). If you make them seperate more people will visit your caches than if you make it one multi cache. ============================== Wherever you go there you are. Quote Link to comment
