Faderaven Posted November 3, 2002 Posted November 3, 2002 Does anyone know of a program where I can enter say four waypoints and have them all display on the map so I can print it? Preferably with a scale on it. I tried doing it with LostOutdoors.com but I couldn't figure out if its even possible Quote
Faderaven Posted November 4, 2002 Author Posted November 4, 2002 the commercial version to do this? I couldn't get the website to do it. Christmas is swiftly approaching and I have 13 nephews and nieces to buy for. Quote
Markwell Posted November 4, 2002 Posted November 4, 2002 You don't say where you're from. These solutions are for US only... Lostoutdoors.com will do it, but only with a Satellite Photo or Topographical map, and only to a certain zoom level. Plot the first point, and on the resulting screen, there's two more boxes for Latitude and Longitude. Enter the second set of coorindate and redraw the map. Repeat process until all show up. Tiger Census Maps will do it as well for the US. At work, I've got the link for the instructions page, and will post it in a few hours. If all your spots are in the US, this is a free online service that can post as many spots as you want, with really refined scalability and size. The maps can also be linked for free to your website. If you're looking for an offline version to have really nice maps, I'd suggest MS Streets and Trips. The added bonus is that with Geobuddy, you can take a *.loc file resulting from a download or pocket query and plot the results on a map. Very cool stuff. +Planet Posted November 4, 2002 Posted November 4, 2002 but I use the Garmin Mapsource, street or topo. I really wish there was some way to have both at once though. Cache you later, Planet I feel much more like I do now than when I first got here. Quote

Team Tecmage Posted November 4, 2002 Posted November 4, 2002 ExpertGPS also does the job. We figured out the mapping feature, and it works with topos and street maps. Quote
Faderaven Posted November 4, 2002 Author Posted November 4, 2002 I have four waypoints near each other but since LO maps seem to be made up of 'puzzle pieces' I can't pan over until all the waypoints are on one map. Quote
