Guest buddski
My husband and I like this new idea of Geocaching but would like to try it out without purchasing a brand new unit, any ideas where we can purchase a used one? Thanks, Buddski Quote Link to comment
Guest Cisupete
On second thought, just forget the shipping charges and the wait, and go to Walmart. Get the basic Garmin Etrex for around $119.00. You could rack up half a dozen finds by the weekend.......... Quote Link to comment

Guest BigDoggie
If you just want to try the game out, buy a GPS locally from Walmart or some other place that has a liberal return policy and give it a try for the weekend. If you don't like the game, take it back. But, really, it isn't like they are gold-plated. You can get a Magellan 315 from amazon.com for $125, no tax, no shipping, and that way you get a warranty and everything. ------------------ Interested in Geocaching in the state of Georgia? Guest DaveA
used GPS units can be had on ebay as well as discounted new ones. Also amazon.com now sells used items. Go to the item pages for various units and the used items available and the price will be there as well. Do be advised that the used units are not sold by amazon.com, they are sold by individuals so you are susceptible to the same risks as you are with ebay. Quote Link to comment
