Guest ClayJar Posted January 6, 2002 Posted January 6, 2002 Okay, call me sentimental, but seeing as I've been here long enough to consider these my home forums, I couldn't just pass into 4-digit land without a little thread. Anyway, there, I made the thread with my 1,000th post, and now I can just watch it drop of the end of the boards. (At least it was fun for the moment. ) [This message has been edited by ClayJar (edited 06 January 2002).] Quote
Guest Choberiba Posted January 6, 2002 Posted January 6, 2002 Congratulations ??? I just did the math and it looks like you're still gaining ground away from me. I've made 430 post in four months, you've posted 1000 in eight. My schedule will change in the near future which will prevent me from posting as much. (Hey, no cheering in the back) Quote
Guest makaio Posted January 6, 2002 Posted January 6, 2002 Only half as many in 14 months. Kinda like my caching pace. I should reach 1000 posts sometime in 2003. Do you talk this much in RL too? [This message has been edited by makaio (edited 06 January 2002).] Quote
Guest kam Posted January 6, 2002 Posted January 6, 2002 you must not have enough other things to keep you busy. congradulations and thanks for all your helpful posts. Quote

Guest navdog Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 Well before this thread does drop off the boards and before we have to give Markwell the same praise, let me thank you ClayJar on all the help and information you have provided everyone on these forums. I hope your enthusiasm and willingness to help other cachers will continue for another couple of thousand posts! Thanks again. Quote

Either you'll have to refresh the groups listed on your hard drive or request that they add it to your news feed. I did refresh before I asked. Also checked Google groups. Guess I need to request it. Update: Requested. Lets see how long it takes. Update: Got standard BS automated reply msg with the REAL email to submit my question to. Update: Hello Chris, This group seems to have been created on 1/3/02 but it is not being propagated. Because of this we cannot add it. If you start to see this group propagated (check giganews.com and dejanews.com) we can then add it Thank you [This message has been edited by Mopar (edited 08 January 2002).] Quote
Guest TresOkies Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 Gee, before the thread dies, maybe I should stir the pot so ClayJar will get his second 1000 faster... Let's see... Garmin rules! Chevy kicks Ford butt No way LSU wins the CWS this year TRUE NORTH! TRUE NORTH! Just jerking your chain--I don't mean it. Well, maybe #2 and definitely #3. -E ------------------ N35°32.981 W98°34.631 Quote

No, GRID NORTH! And degrees? You guys should use radians! It makes the trig functions a lot easier to do when you're using UTM grids without a compass for the angles. *for you non-Babylon 5 people, there was a glitch in the first few runs of the widescreen version of B5 on the Sci-Fi Channel in the US. At this one rather high-tension moment, someone asks what the raiders' (some bad guys) command and control carrier looks like. Commander Sinclair says something like "It looks... like that" and the shot cuts to... a teapot in one of the alien ambassador's quarters! (Oops.) So, my Hyundai Tiburon, which is the C&C carrier for all my caching, is the Teapot. (I even have different caching packages I can load into it: my backpack and gear, an inflatable canoe, my mountain bike, etc.) [This message has been edited by ClayJar (edited 07 January 2002).] Quote
