Shel
We're planning to host a potluck event cache barbecue about mid-May to meet some of the other folks and families who have hunted and hidden caches in our area. I've checked some other threads and have determined how to publicize it. Of course we'll have food, and we're thinking of asking each cacher to donate a cache trinket for a new cache (or two, depending on donations!) that we would then hide so others could go hunt it the next weekend or so. We're having it in a city park with a shelter, rest rooms, playground equipment and plenty of parking available. Any ideas on what else we can do to help break the ice, besides eat? OFF RODE
OK seriosly, perhaps place a few caches in the area with raffle tickes in them and then have a raffle at a certain time for some prizes...simple stuff or good stuff if you can get donations....I wouldnt post them as real caches....just show up and get the co ords and clues...the harder the cache the better the prize....Now how do you keep the 1st dishonest person from taking all the tickets...oh well just a thought... Shel
that's a great idea! I'll have to see what I can shake loose for raffle items ... great mind run in similar directions - brokenwing's looking for event cache input, too! Quote Link to comment
