Visuvius
I'm going there tommorow and wanted to know if i would have any problems w/ my GPS V under all the trees. I've never used my GPS in a foresty/mountainy area like that, so i'm not sure what to expect. PS, i looked for caches in Yosemite but failed to find any. Maybe i was just looking in the wrong places? OFF RODE
Going in 2 weeks. I think reception should be fine in the valley but probably wont be too good under heavy tree cover, and three are some BIG trees there as well as high peaks that might reduce the amount of sats seen at times. As far as Geocaches...its a national park...they arnt allowed. "You've got to be very careful if you don't know where you're going, because you might not get there." Yogi Berra Quote Link to comment
+Pepper
Been there, done that. There is one we tried for on the Valley floor and had to post a no find. The GPS was jumping around everywhere. We had six planned for our four day vacation and only found one. Hopefully you will have better luck! Enjoy your vacation, we sure did. Team SuperGenius Pepper Horizontals where it's at!
