How did you serve?

Recommended Posts

I was in the Army Reserves from '88-'94, first as a supply specialist then as an Adjutant General Corps officer. Since 1990, I have been an Army Wife. I hung up my uniform because I figured one of us needed to stay home with the kids; since he was active duty & I was just a reservist, I was fine with him staying in. Hubby just rolled over 21 years this May & is still going. I love the life, both in uniform & out and wouldn't trade it for the world.

I really think any participation here (on my part) would result in bannination.

I do agree with others that this thread is about as relevant to Geocaching as what type of socks I wore today.

Yes, that is my opinion.

No, I don't care what the OP's opinion of my opinion might be.

EYES RIGHT!

SALUTE!

Vote early, vote often!

Interesting. I did not know it was the OP bumping it, that made it constantly re-appear, and I certainly didn't know it had it's own feedback thread!! 22 yr. Army veteran here (all reserve component), and I'm sure my post is on like page 14 or something. Heck, maybe I didn't notice, and posted twice. I'm gonna have to agree, if Gay Geocacher, Scrapbooking Geocacher, or Ham Radio Geocacher threads get closed as fast as the moderator see's them, this isn't much different, sorry to say.

Well i'm not the OP so I am in the clear. Should it matter if it doesn't have any involvement???

I have great respect ,admiration and thanks for all who served. All GI's past and present have an unbreakable bond. I spent 7 years in the Air Force in the 60's and am proud of every minute. As cachers, clowns ,cowboys, car salesmen or clergy we have that link forever. Like myself, many nudists were servicemen too. Bless 'em all.Thank them all.

Both halves of Themundies have served our country in AmeriCorps. We teach immigrants and underserved urban populations skills and language to better their positions in life. We have even taught the joys of geocaching to a student or two. We like to think we have done just as much good and "served" our country just as much as anyone who has picked up a gun. But we usually get bombarded with jeers of being communists and then get a lecture about how the foreigners are taking all those desirable jobs picking fruit or cleaning toilets or any other disgusting job you wouldn't want.... Sigh. This was not meant as a slight to our troups. We have many a friend that are combat veterans, it is just rough when they get recognition ad we get slighted.
