Team Canope
GPS Wristwatch Can this be worth the bucks? Team Canope Quote Link to comment
+Touchstone
Sounds like a gimmick to me. Like altimeter watches, I'd wonder about the accuracy. To cache, or not to cache, that is the question. Quote Link to comment
+jeff35080
I have a friend who has one and it is accurate. A bit big and bulky for a wristwatch but it works great. Jeff http://www.AlaCache.com Quote Link to comment
+Prime Suspect
They're pretty useless. There's a reason why they're being unloaded at 60% off. Quote Link to comment
+WildcatRegi
I have one and can't recommend it. It is accurate though, I've tested it at a surveyed point and it was right on! The only problem with it is how long it takes to get a lock and all too often it will time out and not get a lock at all. There's no comparison between my GPS Casio and my eTrex Legend. I was really disappointed, I wanted the convience of a watch with my photography so that I could be getting the coordinates while I was taking a picture. If anyone knows how to override the timeouts and if there's any software out there to more quickly get a lock on the satellites, I sure would like to know. Quote Link to comment

The small antenna is one factor in the length of time it takes to get a 'lock' and why it doesn't stay 'locked' as well as a larger unit. Cheers! Quote Link to comment
SuperAlpha
It was introduced SEVERAL years ago, and discontinued in like less than 1 year. Quote Link to comment

+dino_hunters
SUUNTO makes one too. It has a detachable antenna, so it is not a huge monstrosity unless you are using the gps. It it supposed to be much better than the Casio GPS watch. Quote Link to comment
