Jomarac5
When you submit an encrypted log entry to a cache log, the email message sent to those who have the cache on their Watchlist is sent decrypted (possibly revealing spoilers). Should watch list notifications be encrypted or not? [This message was edited by Jomarac5 on October 29, 2003 at 08:50 PM.] Link to comment

No need to feel like you have to defend yourself. I had an opinion so I voted from the two choices. Was simply offering a suggestion to perhaps improve your poll results. I in no way thought that it wasnt your thread. Social Secretary to the QOFE The Frog is my friend Link to comment

The wrong button seems to get pressed a lot. ______________________ Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand. - Homer Simpson ChiTown Cachers * Keenpeople.com Stats Link to comment
+honeychile
I think they should be encrypted. But it might necessitate an addition to the standard language on the watch list email to explain the gibberish. The email starts out, "You are receiving this email because this listing is on your watch list. Visit the web site to change your watchlist settings." Maybe adding something between those sentences to explain the possibility of an encrypted log would be useful. -honeychile- "a joyful heart is good medicine" Link to comment
+Bloencustoms
I voted yes. It really would never be a spoiler to me, because the only caches on my watch list are either caches I have found, or caches that I placed with another cacher, and are on that cacher's account. However, I would want the logs to be encrypted if a cacher was watching one of my caches that they haven't found yet. To answer your question, the starter of the thread uses the edit button to edit the poll. Very simple. Social Secretary to the QOFE The Frog is my friend Link to comment

Pantalaimon
I vote "doesn't matter to me." Oh, dadgum, there was no choice for that. Maybe you should add that to the choices. Pantalaimon
Seriously, if this option were implemented, there should be a link on the email to "Read the Decrypted Log." Although, I suppose its not much more "work" to see the decrypted log, click to get to the log, and then click to decrypt... I may be posting just to hear the clackety clack of my keyboard keys and the springback of my spacebar. I'll stop now.
