This weekend I bought a Magellan 315 from Canadian Tire for $219. (I got like 27 Candadian Tire Dollars) And I was just wondering what is the difference between bearing and course-to-steer.

Bearing is the direction "degrees" to use to get to the destination.Course to steer is to put you back on THE RIGHT TRACK.If you have a bearing of 300 degrees but you are walking at 320 degrees the course to steer will be 20 degrees W .Course to steer is simply to put you on the right bearing. It tells you the diference you are off from the bearing.
