Geocaching Haikus anyone?

Recommended Posts

Oh dang! I can't remember the syllable (seems to be spelled wrong to me, but I'm too lazy to look it up or run spell check) rules for haikus. I thought it was 5-7-5, but your's was 5-8-5! I have no idea! Here is one of each:

5-7-5 (and in honor of a previous post):

My dog hurt her foot

No geocaching for her

Poor doggie poor me

5-8-5:

GPS hates me

No caches found for me today

Stinking Magellen

OK, atually, I love my Magellen! It just worked there! Also, is "geocaching" 3 or 4? I can see it both ways, but I called it as 4: ge...o.... cache... ing! BUT, it could be 3: geo..cache...ing!

It's 5-7-5. I've edited for my stupidity.

Summer in Texas

Poison Ivy, ants, and snakes

Still....I must cache on.

That sounds....pretty darned impressive....when read.....like....James T. Kirk.

Here's my Grateful Dead/Phish inspired cache Haiku

Summers are now spent

Following the cache's trail

Instead of jam bands.

The Dead in Austin

Playing at Willie's picnic

Will I cache while there?

I am quitting now

I can not seem to stop this

Please, make it stop now! icon_biggrin.gif

I can not stay long.

Treasure is not here

someone took away my cache

cachers are now sad.

[short form]

I saw one

It is gone away

they saw me.

Is it more important to know what you are talking about,

or more important to talk about what you know?

the seeking is in the knowing

and not where you've been

Travelling is the going

isn't learning Keen?
