I'd like to complain that in a great thread as this, there aren't as many complaining as should be.

Come on people, you live dreadfull lives! Life stinks! Your dog doesn't like you, he's just there for the free food! Your wife hates you, she's just there so she can live next door to her boyfriend! Come, rejoice in what this glorious world has to offer, and let's complain! icon_biggrin.gif

Always proof-read carefully to see if you any words out.

Don't you hate when you think you don't know something but then find out you're smarter than you thought. At least I think I have this image thing conquered, lets see if this works.

Don't you hate it when people complain about the church, but the church wasn't really hiding it all along? As shown by this poorly designed church window.

(fingers crossed hoping image link works.......)

Better call me that Waaaaaahhhhhmbulance. This isnt't working. I am not UBB inclined I guess. Tried the image UBB button but it looks like Angelfire is putting a "rloadblock" into my URL, what ever that it. oh well. So much for that joke.

I'd like to complain that this has never happened to me!

That pic is as disturbing as the churches of late...

[EDIT] You had that pic here once! Won't it work using the UBB code image button below the post window???

Always proof-read carefully to see if you any words out.

I think it's Angelfire, which I'd like to complain about since I'm right here. Along with Geocities, Tripod, and all them other crappy web space providers.

Anyway, make an image tag to "http://www.bytethebullet.com/geocaching/images/church.jpg" and it'll work

I seriously question the sanity of somebody who uses multiple exclamation marks!!!!!

I hate when you spend over 500usd on a GPSr and the darn thing doesn't work for what you bought it for. Not to mention the emotional turmoil that is necessary to figure if it should stay or go. Well I figured out that my Garmin GPS V is going to be on its way out. It is a sad day for me because I like many features of this unit but it is just not reliable under tree cover. There are reasons for that which I posted in the Took the Plunge thread. Looks like I am going to stick with Lowrance and pickup an iFINDER. Oh well for the autorouting but hello cheap and unlimited memory.

I just thought some people might be interested in this.

It is true, I have not logged any caches, but I have great interest in this sport. It seems like a great way to take the family out and see places you might otherwise never go. I do not have the $ to buy a GPS® right now, but rest assured in the coming months I will, and you will see caches logged shortly thereafter. If you have a GPS unit to loan me, I promise to log a cache the day I receivie it

Wow, my first day on the forum and I made it into the compalaint thread. I feel so honored.

While it is true that I am in need (my wife tells me it's a want, not a need) of a GPSr, the reason I stated for not already having one is MONEY. I seriously doubt that UMC will want to sell me his Garmin V at a price I would be interested in... I am holding out for a Legend, and should be able to get it soon. There are a few Caches within a ferw miles of my house that I am thinking of looking for even before I get my GPSr, so maybe I'll be part of the "in" crowd soon.

You won't feel real important until you make it into a thread of your own like this one.

Of course, you might have to wear something like this to do it:

Don't you just hate it when someone finds the perfect gift for Rubbertoe and doesn't get it for him?

I got it for Rubbertoe. Except it didn't end up being a button. I had stored the information in some dusty corner of my brain and in less than 46 hours it had mixed up the medium.

It is a sticker, about 2" by 4", pink black and white with a clown face and says "Can't sleep...clowns will eat me".

So Rubbertoe, if it isn't too scary for you, email me and I'll 37cent stamp it and it will be winging its way to you in the morning. Otherwise it goes to little brother this weekend. I forgot he was coming to Seattle so I could take him sea creature caching!!

OK I am going to complain about UMC's avatar. It is too twisted for me. icon_wink.gificon_wink.gificon_wink.gif I have been tramatized for 30 years. Ever since that day in Honors Bio class in high school when the teacher showed us the movie that the parents obviously didn't get to preview for the curriculum.

It was called "The Red Kangaroo" and UMC's avatar pose was one of the many kangaroo karma sutra poses shown that day. Anyone else "forced" to watch that one???

I'm just mad that since I found out about Geocaching like 2 weeks ago, that I can't make a career of it!! Caching has consumed my every thought for 2 weeks now. When I'm at work, I just watch the clock SLOWLY tick by while (in the down time) I read the forums and print off the cache pages to my next adventures. Now I don't like my job, it's hard to get any sleep, I'm scratching Poison Ivy all over my legs, picking splinters out of my hands, massaging sore muscles, awaiting lab results of the West Nile virus that I know I must have by now. dadgum I'm mad!!! icon_wink.gif

I TOTALLY DESPISE THEIVES!!! ANOTHER CACHE RIPPED OFF!! WHAT REALLY TICKS ME OFF IS THAT I HIDE MY CACHES SO THEY ARE REALLY DIFFICULT TO DETECT. WE EITHER HAVE A THEIF IN THE MIX, OR SOMEONE CANNOT TAKE THE TIME TO RE-HIDE WHAT THEY HAVE FOUND. ALWAYS SOMEONE WHO HAS TO SCREW UP A GOOD THING. SEEKER BP

You'll get over it. Once you are consumed by the R.A.S.H. it will only get worse. Within a few more days you will have the closest 100 caches programed into your GPSr. You will be a frequent visitor to the Dollar Store, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, McD's and anywhere else you might find cheap stuffing for the rubbermaid containers you are now purchasing in bulk. You will start carrying a large 3-ring binder with cache page print outs for about a third of your state.

Your gear will grow to include a second GPSr, a compass, new more powerful flashlights, Blaze vests for caching in hunting season, FRS radios, a PDA, a new cachemobile with 4WD. The list goes on.

My complaint is that we don't have cache breaks at work. My boss just doesn't understand that I need time for my addiction. Afterall, smokers get cigarette breaks on company time.

When you get those pre-approved letters in the mail

for everything from credit cards to 2nd mortgages

and junk like that, most of them come with postage

paid return envelopes

I love these... the preaddressed envelopes with the magic words "Postage will be paid by the addressee" Simply tape this envelope to a brick and return it. They are paying postage by the ounce. icon_cool.gif

Now how do I handle SPAM. there doesn't seem to be any effective way to stop it. icon_mad.gif

Trudy, It's happening!

My car is filled with plastic bags of stuff for geocaching, I realy do have the three ring binder, The Bryno has the Topo maps in his GPS and I have the street maps, we're dueling GPSrs. Luck had it that I bought the 4WD in March and took this up in April or I'd be selling the darn thing. I've even contacted another Geocacher to go with because my friends and family just don't understand. My second shift relief is here now, must go caching now....

Yes, I already have a 3 ring binder and have a 3 hole punch at home. I have to delete my track log every Saturday and Sunday so I can make sense of the screen. I delete waypoints as I go cause it's too dadgum full. I saw a new cache listed within 30 minutes of my home last night so, since I work a second shift, I woke up early today to go and find it before work. I had the 1st log for it. I guess if I can't get cache breaks at work, I'll just have to suffer from sleep deprivation too. So now I'm mad about that too.!!!! icon_biggrin.gif

I did something unusual today - I actually planned an afternoon of cache hunting. I found four of them without much problem... but several I was unable to log because of their location.

I know, people can hide caches where they want... but today I came across caches that were hidden on the doorstep of an elementary school, in a town square near the steps of a big town hall building, and in some ghetto vandalized skate park where punks hang out and people sit around in their low rider ford escorts.

The town hall one I tried to get, even while people were looking... but I just skipped the other two due to the circumstances. icon_frown.gif

Luckily, there were 4 others that I found that were in what I consider to be "good" hiding spots. Not in the middle of everything, with who knows how many people watching and wondering.

And how are those caches not getting stolen? Cripes - I put mine 100 yards back into the woods of some remote park and someone takes it. This one sits in the front lawn of an elementary school and nobody bothers it. *smacks forehead* icon_rolleyes.gif

Rubbertoe,

Where have you been? I think I complained about that one a few pages back.

and

The new complaint would have to be that the 'A logo for the rest of us?' thread is going to beat this one out in posts and views soon. icon_smile.gificon_frown.gif

I'd like to complain about people that complain that other people complain about something they have allready complained about. We all have the right to have similar complaints and just because you have a complaint about something does not mean another person does not have the right about to complain about it either. So stop your bitc.... I mean complaining!

I seriously question the sanity of somebody who uses multiple exclamation marks!!!!!

Maybe I mis read your post but I think you were complaining about people who complain about what other people complain about. If that is the complaint them maybe you need to reread instead of complaining because the complaint wasn't about the complaint or the complaining but the timing of the complaining in question. Besides I errr I mean I don't think the complaint that your complaining about was truely a complaint yet a question about a complaint. So if one were to told to stop complaining then another one should reread the thread title about complaint dept and thats where the complaining takes place so complain on and quit your complaining.
