+hcameron
I am having a problem understanding how to upload waypoints from the web site to my Magellan Platium GPS. Can anyone help me understand the process? I get the file downloaded from the website but can not understand how to upload it into my unit. Hope my question makes sense. Thanks for your help. +woodsters
Use easygps to get it there. Brian As long as you're going to think anyway, think big. -Donald Trump Quote Link to comment
+Og's outfit
When I upload the waypoints I make sure to re-name them, (usually a condensed version of the cache name). I save them in "My Documents." Then I simply go to "Start", then "My Documents", then click on the waypoint I want. Make sure your GPSr is on and connected to the PC cable. Click on the GPS tab on top and click on "Send waypoints to GPS" Hope that helps. OG Prophetically Challenged (or is that Pathetically?) Quote Link to comment
+yorelken
The program "geobuddy" does a nice job of renaming the caches in condensed form. It converts the downloads to several different formats. Quite handy. Quote Link to comment
Tikiroy
I use EasyGPS with my magellan. One thing though...when I switched to MSN 8 I could no longer download waypoints while on that browser. I had to switch to IE to make it work. Others in the forum have also had the same problem....something to keep in mind. "There's so much comedy on television. Does that cause comedy in the streets?"
