WHERE DID THE MAPS GO???

Recommended Posts

The maps on my cache pages have disappeared.

Maps were on this page as well as every other cache that I own a day or two ago but now they're all gone. Oddly, nearby caches still appear to have their maps.

What's the deal here? Will the maps return?

TPTB decided the maps are really spoilers, and not necessary.

Our map generator has a little bit of a backlog right now, but it is running and will get to that cache soon.

Thanks Elias.

I assume that all the maps on my caches will return?

It would kinda neat WITHOUT the maps, I think...sure would make it tougher on the muggles or anyone else who would be trying to take or vandalize caches. The way it stands now, you can just look at the map and read the logs to find them!

Yes, I suppose it would be. I use OziExplorer and map out all the caches before I go out so it's not a big deal for me. However, when I'm looking at new caches, I really like being able to see at a glance how far away from my location the cache is and the area that it is in.

Thanks Elias.

I rarely look at the maps for caches around my area; I like to get the gps waypoints and go for it.
