How many within 100 miles of your home coordinates?

OK, my first poll. Click on 'my cache page' and then click on 'from your home coordinates' and see how many caches are in the list. I think this is a good way to break them up. I am at 940 in Los Angeles. I assume that I am in one of the highest density areas. Try to give the number from your home, and not just your zip code.

If you'd asked a couple of weeks ago it would have been around 850. There's been a huge spurt of cache placement in the past two or three weeks.

1105 within 100 miles of Kinnelon NJ. And about 1/3 of that is ocean, so we're packed pretty tight here. It's getting hard to find a park that is cachless or a unique area to place a cache.

Could be a lot worse. You could live in Vt. I think they have maybe 60 or 70 caches in the entire state.

Please don't think I'm complaining about the number of caches in the middle of Illinois. I traveled through North Dakota this past summer when the cache count in that state was 12. It has now more than doubled to 29. Never will you catch me complaining about Illinois.

1025 around Mount Kisco, NY. Caches are not so dense to the north and east, but very dense to the south and west. The majority of these require a less than one mile walk. I prefer caches where I walk longer than I drive, and these are harder to find.

1167 from our spot in Central New Jersey. I guess that's what happens when your 50 miles from Philly and Nyc. I'd also guess that 30%-40% are virtuals. Off the top of my head, I can also think of 3 or 4 cachers that have placed more caches in that same 100mi radius, then we've found.
