Status: Trail Guide, Jr. GeoCacher, etc.?

Can anyone explain the different status names? What determines the various levels?

Good question Jr....Not sure if its the number of caches stashed and found or if it is based on number of posts. I did hear Trail guides get free GPS's, Gore Tex Boots and airfare to remote locations to do geocaching research. Maybe its like a bank where you get a title but no raise....I don't have the answer Jr. survey guy, but I don't hear anyone else shouting it out.

As far as I can tell, Trail Guide just means you are a moderator of one of the forums here...

 

If theres more to it than that, then Jeremy hasn't told me!

They're superficial titles. After you post to the board so many times, you become a Geocacher. Otherwise you remain a Junior Geocacher. Trail Guides are those who have the great honor to moderate the boards.

 

Just word fun. Of course there are some superpowers involved for the Trail Guides...
