+welch
whenever someone posts or replies, it tells there selected name(nick name). but ive noticed, maybe this is new to new* forums, that under the nick names theres always a 2nd name. sometimes it says they are geocacher or charter member, depending if the person has paid the extra fee to become charter member. but other people have neither, they have a totally different name? is this their geocaching site name? or what is it?? +The Treasurer
That second name is really just there to show what kind of geocacher you are. ie Geocacher, Charter Member, etc. Charter Members can, if they choose, change that to whatever they want. Quote Link to comment
+Web-ling
Charter Members have the option of changing the default descriptor below their names from "Charter Member" to anything they want. Non-Charter Members do not have the option to change the descriptor. Quote Link to comment
+mrcpu
Charter Members who didn't want to be "elitists" wined and got the ability to set their own "title" so they could set it to Geocacher just like nonpaying members and thereby not stand out. What effectivly happened is that Charter Members instead set their Title to something neat, cool, funny etc... Unfortunatly, since ONLY paying members can do this, it serves the same purpose that "Charter Member" did to show off your payed membership!!!! Oh the irony!!!!
