+Pharmadude
What's the coolest thing you've found in a cache? Who knows? This might give us all some fresh ideas on what to leave behind at our next cache! Quote Link to comment

+clearpath
One cache I visited had a hand grenade (with pin intact). All I had to trade was an arrowhead so I didn't feel worthy of taking the grenade. It looked real and was heavy, real or fake it would have been a cool paperweight. Quote Link to comment

davwil
My Wife (Rosco) found the cache and the cool camera bag in the cache on one of her first finds with me. She found it, so I said she could have it, (as it looked like a GPSr carrier!). She immediately plunked the Garmin Summit into the carrier and said "OK, so you said I could have it." GENTLEMEN!... I'm not about to argue!... so she got the Summit and I got to buy a new GPSmap76 (cool) and we're enjoying every minute. She really appreciates gear and really knows how to use the Summit! Dave. +RobertM
A couple hundred dollars and gadgets (total value $2000) courtesy of TEAM KFWB GPS. Found this particular cache on Vancouver Island with Canadazuuk and Curios George. We split the FTF prize 3 ways. Another great find was on top of a hill in a snow storm on Saturna Island. I think I got some cash and goodies in there too, also thanks to TEAM KFWB GPS. Quote Link to comment

I have to say that I picked up a Pharmadude button at one of my first caches. Don't know if its the coolest thing I've found, but I have a huge grin everytime I open a cache and see the button there, instantly recognizing that Pharmadude has been there already. Along the same line, I will definately grab SylvrStorm's chain-mail if its in the cache. Maybe one day I'll have enough to make something with it. +MaxEntropy
I found a propaganda leaflet. (the old definition of propaganda) It was a sample of the leaflets dropped on Afghanistan. One side showed two families, one in Western clothes and the other in what I suppose is Afghan clothes. There was a graphic of two hands shaking, one pink and the other brown. There is a lot of text that I don't understand that probably translates to "The Americans are your friends, please don't kill us." Mickey Max Entropy More than just a name, a lifestyle. +Snoogans
A bolo tie with a large unusual piece of raw polished jasper on it. I traded about $15 worth of stuff for it thinking that it must be worth about $10-$25. Well, I showed it to a friend who owns a rock shop, in Bullhead City, and he told me that he would give me $100.00 for it right then. On the return trip, I put three pieces of Citrine (one large one worth about $20) and a handfull of rare red tiger's eye back into the cache. (about $35-$40 in semi-precious stones) I still traded up, but I felt better. Strangly, only one person mentions the stones that I left in their log. Most people don't know what citrine is, or what it's worth. Heck, I recognized the tiger's eye and hematite in that bolo tie and estimated the value way off, not knowing how unusual the piece was. I revisited a cache 2 days ago to do some bug laundering. A handful of polished (not semi-precious) stones from my previous visits sat at the bottom. They have been there for months. I now have 5 pounds of red tiger's eye to leave (a piece or two) as extra "Kudos" for a nice hide or cache, etc. It used to be arrow heads, but I'm almost out of those. I usually don't log special items that I leave. I want it to be a surprise for the next finder. I've learned not to be disappointed when they don't act surprised. Coolness is so very relative. lowracer
Ten bucks. We took the money and went to Amy's ice cream and spent it all! We didn't have any $10 worth of swag on us, so we simply traded one of my cattle dogs for it. She didn't fit into the Ammo can, no matter which way we turned her or folded her legs, so we just chained her to the tree the can was hidden under. Hope someone found her, since we couldn't leave any food (against the rules to leave food in caches, you know.) Quote Link to comment
