vagabond
Yes I guess I'll have to admit being one also just remember 2nd place is first loser. All kidding aside another local cacher, and you know who you are Mark. LOL and I battled for months to see who could be first to log a cache, its a rush to open a cache and see your the first one there, although I know there were some others getting tired of our antics, but it was fun while it lasted....... +Renegade Knight
My second two caches were we were the first ones to find. It's cool, but not an obsession. Nobody in my area is a complete maniac so it seems about anybody in the right time and place could be first. Quote Link to comment

I think this is true; two weeks ago, Floopy was picking up virgin caches at 2:30 a.m. on his way south. Now he doesn't. But it appears to me there is a zone of untapped caching territory near the most northern exit of the GSP. Maybe we should all head up that way and place level 4 microcaches so that Floops can stay home one weekend. Quote Link to comment

+Macro
I have no problem with the folks who are determined to get the first find...I think its great for inspiration. I know if I beat BassoonPilot or Stayfloopy that I have outdone myself! Its equally fun to hide a cache and see which one of them will get to it first (because it will be one of them!) +oregone
I am a portland-area geohogger, but explosis is worse. Sometimes, he'll even go to a cache twice in one night just to prove he's quicker than me. Oh, and the best crabcakes are at the Nehalem Dock restaurant in Nehalem, OR. But don't tell ANYONE. all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed Quote Link to comment

+Logscaler and Red
Well I had thought that I must be one of those geohogs, with around 40 first finds out of 150 total that pretty much fits the bill. But, somebody has to "check" those posted cords and I would hate for you all to have a long drive for nothing so I must be doing you guys a favor. Yea, that's it. I am "helping" you log finds by proving that the cache really exist. That means I am not a geohog but a "Coordinates Verification Specialist" !!!!!!!
