+BlackyV
Are there any more of these strange avatars? What does it mean? 1 2 3 4 Rettet dem Dativ! Dieser Satz kein Verb. Quote Link to comment
+Lothar69
Good question and unfortunately I have no answer. Probably a geo-gang thing. The first one I think is different as that is the international "L" sign for "Loser". Well, OK, maybe not international but you know what I mean. ------------------------------------------------------------ I am Lothar, King of the Hill people. +Snoogans
Solohiker has one that got clipped. It was funny, but understood that it wasn't exactly family, or Jeremy, friendly. Sngans Sacred cows make the best hamburger....Mark Twain. Quote Link to comment
+Stunod
It started on THIS THREAD, which now makes no sense at all... "Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand." - Homer Simpson Eamus Catuli AC145895 Quote Link to comment
umc
What it means is this. Jeremy has several avatars all of which can be found in the "Groundspeak" thread in this forum. On of them is is him with the finger thumb look raising one eyebrow. Someone got the idea and I forget why to have some fun with that and we all posted pics of our avatars with the same thumb/finger deal going on. Some went as far to add the raised eyebrow. It was pretty dern funny having a whole thread of everyone posing as Jeremy. Don't bother doing a search for that thread though because all of the avatars have been changed back. __________________________ Caching without a clue.... Quote Link to comment
+StarshipTrooper
Oh, I remember that. The subject was what kind of "secret sign" cachers might use to identify each other on the trail. I don't remember which thread it was in, and I don't remember who's idea it was - but the suggestion of using that pose (referring to Jeremy's avatar) as a greeting seemed to catch on. It made for some cute avatars, for awhile. "...clear as mud?" Quote Link to comment
+StarshipTrooper
Okay - looks like it was Flask who came up with it and started this thread. I thought it was a good idea, but the hat is better. And yes, most of the avatars have since been changed - so that thread isn't as much fun as it was... "...clear as mud?" Quote Link to comment

Dieser Satz kein Verb. The fad started when Jeremy changed his picture to have his finger pointing along his chin in a "serious" pose. The rest of us took off on it on the suggestion of Criminal. Note my avatar (a hold over from those days). The "L" shape was a take off on the take off and is the sign for "Loser". http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nebraskache/ Quote Link to comment
