Growley
When I try to use ExpertGPS or USAPhotoMaps at work (during breaks of course) I can never bring up any maps on my computer. I have no trouble at home and was wondering if my computer being networked would have anything to do with it? Has anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
+Ranz
You are probably accessing the internet through a proxy server. ExpertGPS and USAPhotomaps do not support access by proxy. You can verify it by going to your explorer setup connection tab and see if the "use proxy server" button is checked. If that is the case there is not much you can do about it without changing your whole configuration. Quote Link to comment
jfitzpat
It doesn't offer all the features of either USAPhotomaps or the commercial mapping products, but http://www.lostoutdoors.com should work through a proxy server (that is, if you can view the internet from your work computer, you should be able to get maps, etc.) Good Luck, -jjf Quote Link to comment

I've tested it across my wireless network using a base computer as a proxy for my laptop. If you're still having trouble, contact me directly at http://www.expertgps.com/support.asp and we'll get it figured out. -- Dan Foster TopoGrafix: GPS Software, Waypoints, and Maps http://www.topografix.com/ Quote Link to comment
