+geospotter
Is anyone else having a problem using SanDisk SD cards with a Zio reader? I have a 64MB SD card in my Merigreen and it works perfectly. The map was loaded serially. I want to add more maps so I bought a Zio SD card reader, but it won't recognize the card. The drivers load properly, the reader is recognized, but the card is not. I have a Zio Smart Media reader that I use all the time, with no problems, but I can't seem to get the SD version to work. I even uninstalled the SM version to avoid any conflicts. I know that there are compatibility issues between the SanDisk SD cards and some devices. Any one else having problems? geospotter Quote Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
I'm having an opposite problem. The SanDisk 128 MB SD Card works fine in my communist chinese card reader, but my iPaq slowly has more and more issues with it until I have to hard book the iPaq and re-format the card. In theory the SanDisk is certified to work in the iPaq. Wherever you go there you are. Quote Link to comment
+Jeepster
I can respond with positive results for a SanDisk 64MB SD card in combination with a Zio SD card reader. Have never had a problem with that combination ... luckily. I use the card in a MeriGold. I've never uploaded maps via the serial port. That's the only difference I can see. +geospotter
Thanks guys for your input. Jeepster, now that I know it should work I'll have to look elsewhere (bad Zio?). Thanks again, geospotter Quote Link to comment
