user13371
Is there an unbiased site somewhere that actually tests rechargable batteries? I've com across this company claiming 2200mAh rechargables, which should last longer than the 1800's I've been using. BUT... does anyone have a reference/review site somewhere that shows they really perform as advertised? --- LDR. Quote Link to comment
PDOP's
I don't think there's a review of the 2200 mAh batteries yet but have a look at this web page PDOP's GPS Pages Quote Link to comment
Marky
I just bought a 10 pack of 2000mAh NoMEM batteries at Fry's for 17.99 (I think that's what it was.) That's less that $2 per battery. Not bad. I've been using the 1800mAh batteries of this brand and have been happy with them. --Marky "All of us get lost in the darkness, dreamers learn to steer with a backlit GPSr" Quote Link to comment
aka Monkey
Also be sure to check out Rayovac's 1-hour NiMH/NiCd charger. Just picked one up, and it's very handy! Even comes with a cigarette lighter adapter for the car. Quote Link to comment

Renegade Knight
Consumer Reports does every now and then. When they do it's worth a read. ===================== Wherever you go there you are. Quote Link to comment
EScout
NiMH Like Marky, I went to Fry's and got a 4-pack of the Lenmar NoMem 2AH NiMH for $6. They often have good prices. At this rated capacity, we are probably reaching the limits of technology and longevity/reliability of the batteries. Quote Link to comment
NimravusHSSR
Powerex is made by MAHA Energy, one of the best battery makers. Here is a good source for battery information, run a search on what your looking for: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB6&Number=229960&page=1&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1 Re: Rayovac 1hour These chargers will literally destroy a rachargeable battery. They run very hot and run an extremely high current through the battery to acheive it's 1hour claim. This destroys the battery. It will no be fully charged and severely reduce it's service life, stay away from it. You can have the highest rated battery, but if you have a cheapy $20 charger from Walmart, your not getting a complete charge. http://www.candlepowerforums.com Quote Link to comment
